Why I am here?

Why I am here?

In the beginning, of my formal education that is, the only classes I really paid any attention to was art and reading, the image and the story. At the bridge between the two is where I came in. For being called a designer or an artist is not in conflict and as far as I am concerned. For the individual who is creative, being in these related fields is not a choice but a lifestyle, a way of interpreting the human experience in visual form.

At its core, this craft involves play, freeing the imagination and providing many opportunities for happy accidents that grace any project. It helps to design from the inside out. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and technological techniques, my unconscious is the undisputed Art Director.

I don’t set out to produce an answer to a question but to explore the possibilities between the elements of a question and in those possibilities the answers presents itself. It’s about the relationships between objects and or ideas. I’m never without a sketchbook noting observations, fleeting revelations, and developing them into more in-depth ideas and detailed images and story lines, over the years, that magical process has had its way with me

Although there may not always be visually similarities between the different projects they are linked by recurring formal concerns. The client’s needs determines the materials and the forms of the work. My subject matter is as diverse as the clients that higher me. My intention is to make an impact on the human experience by evoking the five senses and the physiological terrain of human nature.
